Due to the fact that I had to throw both kids in the bath for the SECOND time this morning (Jane stepped in fresh doggy doo, and while cleaning that up, I found Asher in a separate mess) I decided I needed to do what I'd meant to do for months: Yoga. I should have known what would happen.
What I was attempting:
What I actually got:
Everyday I try to plan out what I want to accomplish, only to have it fall pitifully short. So I set my sights a little lower...and lower...and lower. There are days when I think to myself, "I want to get the kitchen cleaned, do a load of laundry, make some art with Jane, and tidy up the family room. But if I just get the family room tidy, that will be good enough!" Then, at the end of the day, I look around and realize not only is the family room nowhere close to tidy, but parts of the house that
were clean are now a total disaster.
Sigh. Sigh. DOUBLE SIGH. But I wouldn't change it for anything. I love my kids and their crazy antics. I love them during the messes and the whining. And I especially love them when they show their sweet, sensitive selves to me. Yoga, cleaning, and sanity can wait.
This is becoming me more and more every day!!! I can only imagine once Ivy starts crawling and then running around how I will have my hands full! But at least we have our cute kiddo's, your right. Its all ok at the end of the day because we love them so much!
ReplyDeleteI haven't checked any blogs (including my own) in so long! Great to see some updates on your family. Jane and Asher are so adorable! I can't believe how big Asher is... Hopefully I'll be able to catch up on my blog one of these days....
