nursery dreams...

Even though I don't have a room for him, I can't help scheming away at a budget-friendly nursery for this little guy.

I bought a crib bedding set for a steal...then sold it for a profit.  What can I say?  I'm all about making some money.  So now I'm left with creating my own crib bedding.  It made sense, really, seeing as how I was only planning to use the crib skirt and fitted sheet from the bedding set.  I found some fabric online that was on clearance, and it has now become the inspiration for everything else in the nursery.  I've been perusing the internet for ideas and now have so many projects, I'm sure I'll never get to them all.  Here's are a few of my nursery hopefuls:

crib skirt

crib quilt

wall decor

nightlight

snuggle buddies
mobile

a day at the zoo...

Jane loves animals, so of course I was excited when our friends, Jen and Josie, invited us to the Phoenix Zoo!  Despite the heat and both Jen and I being pregnant, it was a lot of fun.  I love seeing such exotic animals up close and was eager for Jane to see them in real life.  I think both of the babies' favorite parts, though, were the ducks and the the little chipmunk that approached us on the path and the orangutan mama and baby who started walking around with a blanket on their heads.
